A Word From Coach Moore

A Word From Coach Moore

The men’s hockey team has four graduating seniors who are tremendous examples of student-athletes. Whether it is on the ice or in the classroom, these four possess the characteristics needed to be successful in life: hard-work, commitment, dedication, loyalty, as well as many others.

Dylan Dock
Dylan uses his tremendous speed to pressure the opponent’s defensemen.  Whether it is on the attack or on the forecheck, there are not many defenseman that have the skating skills to keep up with him.  Dylan’s easy-going personality allows him to lighten up the mood in the locker room when the stress level is high. Graduating with a Sports Management major, the Cardinals players and staff want to thank Dylan for his hard work and wish him all of the best in the future.

Jonathon Elliott
Jonathon has developed into our quiet leader this season.  His personality has made him the type of teammate that others can go to when they need to talk to someone.  His play as a power forward will be missed.  Making it difficult for opposing goaltenders to see pucks coming, Jonathon is at his best in small areas where his tremendous hand skills make him a scoring threat.  Graduating with a Sports Management major, the Cardinals players and staff want to thank Jonathon for his hard work and wish him all of the best in the future.

Joey Van Antwerp
Joey possesses great hand skills and vision.  Those individual skills have made him very valuable in getting the Cardinals out of their own zone.  Overcoming a very serious knee surgery, Joey’s hard work and patience have allowed him to become an instrumental part of the Cardinals defensive core.  Graduating with a Business Management major, the Cardinals players and staff want to thank Joey for his hard work and wish him all of the best in the future.
Haley Denne
Haley has been our manager for the past three seasons.  Her unending attention to detail has made her an MVP in the coaches’ minds.  Whether it is staying late into the night or coming early in the morning, Haley always has the laundry done for the players and the important details done for the coaches.  Never looking for praise, she does her job as well as anyone that I have ever worked with in my 29 years of coaching.  She will be greatly missed.  Graduating as a Biology major with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy, the Cardinals players and staff want to thank Haley for his hard work and wish him all of the best in the future.
