A Word From Coach Mannor
#5 Mckenna Parent
Blessed with good hands and superior speed, Mckenna has been an offensive threat since the first time she pulled on the Cardinal uniform. But something changed this year in her game…. she matured (Yes Macki, Mckenna matured). Mckenna realized the importance of the team as opposed to the individual. As a result she became a much more effective player. A player the coaching staff has full confidence in putting into any on ice situation. It is without a doubt that this has been her most successful season both in on ice play and leadership.
#8 Rory Petrisin
In hockey terms Rory can be described as a “grinder”. More specifically, Rory has been a player that the coaching staff could put on any line, at any position, in any situation and know with confidence that she is going to give us full effort. Not only does Rory always bring a strong work ethic to the rink every day, more importantly she always brings a smile with her fun-loving attitude. She is the type of individual whose enthusiasm and energy are contagious inspiring her teammates to elevate their game.
#24 Macki Fadness
Two sport athlete. Three time all-conference hockey player. Current Saint Mary’s Female athlete of the year. Bottom line….Macki is good. Saying Macki is talented does not begin to describe who she is as an athlete. Countless times I have seen Macki on the ice by herself working on specific skills. Not just out skating around, but performing the same task over and over again. Macki has an inner drive to be the best she can be. To go above and beyond what is asked of her. She is a prime example to any athlete what you can accomplish when you truly put your mind and heart into something.
#25 Katie LeTourneau
“Every Time.” At the end of every practice over the last four seasons, this is what LT has said to me before leaving the ice. Although I really do not know why she choose to say these words to me, “every time” can be used to describe her playing career as a Cardinal. LT came to practice willing to work hard both mentally and physically “every time”. In each game she gave not just her all, but she gave her heart “every time”. LT could always be counted on to make the right choices on and off the ice “every time”. An individual who is equally passionate about academics as she is athletics, LT has served as a fantastic role model for this program. Her contributions to this program will sorely be missed.
#29 Tori Herrmann
Regardless of the situation, Tori exemplifies character traits that are needed to play one of the most demanding positions in all of sport. Calm under pressure. The ability to let the past be the past and look towards the future. A strong desire to succeed. A willingness to do what is best for the team. These character traits have led Tori into becoming the goalie she is today, one of the best in the conference. Her quick wit personality and caring nature adheres her to everyone who comes into contact with her. Without a doubt, Tori has become the backbone of this program.
Haley Jung
Quite possible the most unassuming individual I have ever met, Haley has been as big a part of this program as anyone. From water bottles to social media, the work you put in allows the coaching staff and players to concentrate on the game. While you name does not end up on the scoresheet, Haley Jung will always be a part of this program. I really do not know what we are going to do next season without you.
2015-2016 Seniors
Reflecting on all the contributions you have made to this program both on and off the ice over the past four seasons is honestly emotional. All four seasons each of you have been a major influence on the program. Your personalities, character, and work ethic compliment each other fantastically and have helped grow this team into a family. I cannot thank each of you enough. You will be missed.
