• 2019 RECAP: The Knights have not played since dropping a 3-0 decision to St. Olaf on Nov. 1, 2019. Carleton did not play during the 2020, pandemic-shortened fall-to-spring season. … Carleton finished 6-20 in 2019, including a 2-9 showing in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.
• ON THE ATTACK: Carleton closed out the 2019 season boasting four players with 100 or more kills, led by Abby Loe with 281. Grace Leuchtenberger (163), Jancyn Appel (161), and Olivia Powell (156) also eclipsed the 100-kill marker. … Loe finished averaging 3.05 kills-per-set and Powell owned the team lead, hitting .234. … Loe owned Carleton’s top two single-match kill totals, collecting 23 against Hamline on Oct. 23, and a season-high 25 vs. Saint Mary’s on Oct. 30.
• SETTING THE STAGE: Inger Shelton was the Knights’ assist leader in 2019, accounting for 672 of the team’s 793 assists. … Shelton closed out the 2019 season owning five matches with 35 of more assists — including a season-high 51-assist performance against Saint Mary’s on Oct. 30.
• DIGGING IN: Tegan Carlson closed out 2019 with a team-leading 259 digs and led four Knights who accumulated 200 or more digs — Celeste Chen (214), Loe (212), and Shelton (201) were the other three. … Chen ended the year with CC’s top two single-match dig performances, including a season-high 30-dig effort against Saint Mary’s on Oct. 30. 
• THIS AND THAT: As a team, Carleton finished the 2019 campaign 901 kills (9.79 kps), 793 assists (8.62 aps), and 1182 digs (12.85 dps), while also hitting .153 and serving up 136 assists. … Carleton — which dropped its final three matches to end the 2019 season — posted four of its six wins in four sets, while adding a pair of five-set victories. On the flip side, the Knights were swept 12 times, lost five four-setters and suffered two five-set losses. … Carleton finished 3-6 at home in 2019, while going 2-5 on the road and 1-8 in neutral-site matches.
