• 2020 RECAP: The Raiders played 12 matches during the pandemic-plagued 2020 season, posting a 4-8 record, including a 2-6 showing in Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference play. … The Raiders finished 2-3 on their home court last season, while managing two wins in seven tries on the road.
• ON THE ATTACK: Quinn Borchert was the offensive leader for the Raiders a year ago, compiling 84 kills in 11 matches (2.21 kps) and hit a team-leading .214. … Itlia Fields was second to Borchert with 72 kills, while Emma Braun and Megan Brock each chipped in 53.
• SETTING THE STAGE: Amanda Yackley accounted for 238 of the team’s 337 assists last season, averaging 6.26 assists-per-set. Yackley recorded six matches with 20 or more helpers, including a season-high 34-assist effort against Lakeland on March 14.
• DIGGING IN: Bekah Smith amassed a team-best 124 digs last season (3.35 dps) and was one of three Raiders to eclipsed the 100-dig mark. Fields chipped in 113 digs (2.97 dps) and Braun added 106 (2.78 dps).
• THIS AND THAT: As a team, MSOE closed out the 2020 season with 357 kills, averaging 8.48 kills-per-set, while recording 337 assists, 622 digs, and 72 aces. … Of MSOE’s four wins, two were 3-0 sweeps, while the other two were extended to a fifth set. On the flip side, the Raiders were swept 3-0 in six of their eight matches, with the other two losses coming in four sets. … MSOE opened and closed out last season with five-set victories, beating Lakeland 3-2 to kick off the year, and topping Edgewood 3-2 to end their 12-match season.
