Bill Moore is the Saint Mary's University men's hockey coach, a position he has held since the 2008-09 school year

In 2014-15, Moore guided the Cardinals to their first MIAC post-season appearance since 2003-04, earning MIAC Coach of the Year honors. The Cardinals, who finished second in the regular-season conference standings in 2014-15, reached the MIAC Playoff championship game, falling to Hamline 4-2.
Moore's 2014-15 Cardinals reached the conference tournament title game for the first time since 1994-95—and finished with a 15-10-2 overall record, their most wins since that same 1994-95 campaign.
Moore again guided the Cardinals to the MIAC Playoffs in 2015-16, finishing third in the regular-season standings. The Cardinals dropped a 5-4 overtime heartbreaker to eventual champion Augsburg in the playoff semifinals. Under Moore's direction, Saint Mary's was back in the MIAC post-season, reaching the semifinals as the No. 5 seed, before falling to Augsburg.
A 1985 graduate of Saint Mary’s, where he was both a standout soccer and hockey player, Moore has coached at both the collegiate and high school levels. He spent three seasons at Saint Mary’s from 1987-1990, while also serving as the head coach at Tartan, South St. Paul and Woodbury High Schools.
Moore is a three-time Section Coach of the Year, who also earned the Minnesota State High School Coach of the Year honor in 2004, and the Dave Peterson Award for long-term service to high school and youth hockey in 2007.
Moore earned his Bachelors degree in Secondary Education (Social Studies) in 1985.
