Andrew McMillan

Andrew MacMillan is an assistant men's soccer coach at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, a position he has held since the 2020-21 season.

Prior to his arrival at Saint Mary’s, McMillan spent three seasons as a graduate assistant for Dordt University’s men’s and women’s soccer teams. During that time, McMillan assisted with all aspects of both programs, while being the head recruiter for the women’s program. He also created and ran the first ever Dordt Women’s ID Camp in 2019.

He also interned for Iowa Soccer in the state’s Olympic Development Program (ODP) in 2020, as well as assisting with USSA grassroots coaching courses. McMillan holds a USSA E & F License.

Before his time at Dordt, McMillan coached for two years at Pella Christian High School, assisting the varsity program while acting as head coach of the junior varsity program. McMillan also spent the summer of 2016 interning for Green and White Soccer Club in Mount Prospect, Ill., where he coached all levels and headed the high school girls’ program’s summer trainings.

He spent 2017 as a summer intern for Iowa Rush Soccer Club in Ankeny, Iowa, where he assisted in the day-to-day operation of the club, as well as coaching summer camps and assisting with tryouts.

McMillan played four seasons of soccer for Central-Iowa, an NCAA Division III institution, serving as team captain both his junior and senior years. He played center-midfield for the Dutch, starting every game his junior and senior seasons. A native from Dunlap, Ill., McMillan graduated from Dunlap in 2014 after earning all-sectional honors his junior and senior year.
