Nick Rizzo is an assistant men's and women's soccer coach at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, a position he has held since the start of the 2013-2014 academic year.
Prior to arriving at SMU, Rizzo spent the 2011 and 2012 seasons as an assistant men's soccer coach and recruiting coordinator at Aurora University in Aurora, Ill. Rizzo has also served as an assistant men's soccer coach at Loras College, as well as the head boys' soccer coach at Wahlert Catholic High School.
Rizzo was a four-year starter for Loras College from 2006-2009, earning All-Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. During his playing days, the Duhawks were four-time IIAC regular-season and conference-tournament champions, while also qualifying for four straight NCAA national tournaments — reaching the Sweet 16 in 2009 and the Final Four in both 2007 and 2008.
Rizzo earmed a BS in Secondary Education and Mathematics from Loras College in 2010, and is currently completing his Masters of Business Adminstration from Aurora University.
