Year as Saint Mary's Golf Coach: 3rd (in 2019) / Year-by-Year Results

Steve Randgaard is the head men's and women's golf coach at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, a position he has held since the start of the 2017-18 school year.

Randgaard — whose 2018 men's team set a new program record for scoring average at 315.4 —  previously served as the Lake City (Minn.) High School girls' golf coach from 1987-2017, and was the Tigers' boys' golf coach from 1988-2009.
 
During his tenure at Lake City, Randgaard coached the Tigers teams to a combined nine team section titles and four state runner-up finishes, while also coaching three individual state Class A champions.

Randgaard was named Minnesota Golf Coaches Association Class AA Coach of the Year in 1999, 2004, 2006, and 2017.  
He was also inducted into the Minnesota Golf Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2012.
 
Randgaard earned his BS in Elementary Education from Bemidji State University and his Masters in Education from the University of Minnesota. Randgaard spent 34 years teaching in the Lake City Public School System, before retiring following the 2013-14 academic school year.
