Palmer averaged 23.0 ppg in helping the SMU men's basketball team to a 2-0 record last week, with confernece wins over Bethel and Concordia. SMU sophomore scored a career-best 37 points — including a perfect 13-for-13 from the free-throw line in the Cardinals' 79-64 win over Bethel last Monday, then followed that up with a nine-point, six-rebound effort in SMU's 69-55 victory over Concordia on Saturday.
