Newsum clocked a season-best 8K time in helping the Cardinal men's cross country team to a 14th-place finish in the UW-La Crosse Jim Drews Invitational last Saturday.

Newsum, who has led the Cardinals in each of their last three meets, crossed the finish line in 25:41 en route to his 30th-place showing among the 333 competitors.
