Newsum posted a top-10 individual performance to lead the Cardinal men to an 11th-place team finish at last weekend's Carleton Running of the Cows. The senior toured the eight-kilometer course in 26:16.0 to place ninth overall.

Newsum's 26:16.0 effort was the fourth-best 8K time of his collegiate career and the fastest since running a 25:41 at the 2015 UW-La Crosse Jim Drews Invitational
