Tonda kicked off his senior season in stellar fashion last Friday night, posting a second- and third-place finish in the Cardinals' season-opening dual against Luther at the Jul Gernes Pool.

Tonda clocked a time of 5:36.52 to place second in the 500 freestyle, and touched the wall in 1:00.33 to finish third in the 100 backstroke.
