Jones enjoyed a career week for the Cardinal women’s basketball team, helping Saint Mary’s to a 2-1 start to the season.

The senior forward equaled her career high with 16 points in Saint Mary’s season-opening 76-64 nonconference win over the University of Dubuque on Nov. 15. After netting 10 points in the Cardinals’ 64-54 loss to UW-Stout during the opening game of the Saint Benedict Tournament last Saturday, Jones set a new career high, scoring a game-high 21 points in the Cardinals’ 65-57 win over Martin Luther a day later.

All told, Jones averaged 15.7 ppg, 6.3 rpg and shot 59 percent from the field (16-for-27) in Saint Mary’s three games last week.
