Box Score
WINONA, Minn. — Saint Mary's University men's tennis coach
Jeff Halberg knew his Cardinals were going to have their hands full in their nonconference match against UW-La Crosse at the SMU Tennis Center Wednesday.
How right he was.
The Eagles dominated from start to finish, opening with three straight 8-4 doubles wins, the completing a 9-0 victory with six, straight-set singles wins.
SMU's
Adam Solseth (Shakopee, Minn.) gave the Eagles' Grand Bernard all he could handle at No. 3 singles, but the Cardinal senior couldn't get the job done, falling 7-5, 6-3. UW-La Crosse did not lose more than three games in any of the other five singles matches in handing SMU its third 9-0 loss in its first five matches this season.
