A Year Ago: The Cardinals swept both games of their two-game MIAC series vs. the Cobbers a year ago. SMU erupted for a season-high 14 goals — including the first collegiate hat trick by
Morgan Shepherd (Brainerd, Minn.) and two goals each from
Matt Staehely (Shorewood, Ill.) and
Anthony Bohn (Spring Hill, Fla.) — as the Cardinals routed Concordia
14-3 in the first game. The Cardinals, whose 14-goal outburst in the opener was the most goals an SMU team had scored in nearly 20 years, picked up right where they left off in the rematch, scoring the game's first six goals en route to a
