MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University men's basketball team continues to long road trip on Saturday, as the Cardinals — who fell to St. Olaf 75-69 in Northfield, Minn., on Wednesday — travel to Concordia to take on the Cobbers in SMU's fourth straight road game. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.

Last Action: SMU got 21 points and 13 rebounds from Chris Palmer (Faribault, Minn.), but it was not enough, as St. Olaf scored the first nine points of the second half en route to a 75-69 Ole victory in Northfield, Minn. Concordia, meanwhile, started slowly and never recovered, dropping their fifth road game of the season with a 74-61 loss at Saint John's in Collegeville, Minn., Wednesday.

A Year Ago: The Cardinals and Cobbers split their two conference meetings a year ago, with each team winning on their home floor.

January 14, 2009: Will Wright (Chicago, Ill.) scored a game-high 24 points and Lukas Holland (La Crosse, Wis.) added 22 as the Cardinals cruised to a 77-58 conference win over the Cobbers at the SMU Gym.

February 18, 2009: Concordia raced out to a 10-point, 40-30 halftime advantage, then matched the Cardinals point-for-point — and then some — over the game's final 20 minutes in handing SMU a 77-64 MIAC loss in Moorhead, Minn.

Chris Palmer (Faribault, Minn.) scored a game- and career-high 21 points in SMU's loss at St. Olaf on Wednesday. Palmer also chipped in a career-best 13 rebounds for his second double-double in as many games. Palmer had recorded 13 points and 11 boards vs. fifth-ranked St. Thomas on Monday. … Lukas Holland (La Crosse, Wis.) and Will Wright (Chicago, Ill.) also scored in double figures vs. ST. Olaf Wednesday, finishing with 14 and 12 points, respectively. … Wright has now scored in double figures in 54 of his 59 collegiate games. Concordia is unbeaten at home in 2009-10. The Cobbers are 5-0 in the friendly confines of Memorial Auditorium, including 3-0 in MIAC play. … Darrin Olmscheid has scored in double figures in six consecutive games and in eight of the past nine. He currently leads the team in scoring with a 14.2 ppg average and is sixth in the MIAC in scoring in conference games. …  The Cobbers are giving up an average of 61.0 ppg in their first eight league games. Only two teams have scored more than 70 points against CC and Concordia has held four MIAC opponents under 55 points. … The Cobbers are currently shooting 42.4% from the floor in conference games and 38.8% from 3-point range.
