WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's basketball team, coming off a 78-65 conference loss to Augsburg at the SMU Gym on Monday, hit the road for a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game against Macalester Wednesday. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Saint Mary's Cardinal Notes: Jessica Thone (Woodbury, Minn.) scored a team-high 22 points vs. Augsburg Monday. … The 22-point effort marked the third time in SMU's last six games that Thone has scored 20 or more points. The effort was also just five points shy of her career-best 27-point effort, recorded vs. Carleton on Jan. 4. … Thone has accounted for three of the Cardinals' five 20-point performance's this season (27, 22 and 21 points).
Jess Miller (Carver, Minn. / 27 points) and
Cherie Kulig (Independence, Wis. / 24 points) are the other two. … Miller, who was held to just five points last Wednesday against St. Olaf, has rebounded with 19- and 15-point nights in her last two contests. …
