MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Saint Mary's University men's hockey team squares off against 11th-ranked MSOE for the second game of their two-game nonconference series Saturday. Puck drops at 2 p.m. at the Kern Ice Center.

Last Night:
The Cardinals got a 39-save effort from Andy Scheib (Sun Prairie, Wis.), but it was not enough, as MSOE scored twice in the game's final five minutes to hand SMU a 2-0 nonconference setback at the Kern Ice Center.

Last Meeting:
January 7-8, 2005: The Cardinals and Raiders split their last nonconference series in Milwaukee, Wis. MSOE scored three times in the second period in handing the Cardinals a 4-1 setback in the opener, while SMU rebounded the following afternoon, scoring once in the second period and once in the third to beat the Raiders 2-1.

Up Next:
The Cardinals close out the 2010 portion of their schedule next Friday, traveling to Fond du Lac, Wis., for a nonconference game against Marian. MSOE, meanwhile, square off against its second straight MIAC foe, playing host to St. Thomas for a pair of nonconference games beginning next Friday at 7:05 p.m.

This afternoon's game marks the third of six straight road games for the Cardinals, who do not play at home again until Jan. 14 against St. Olaf. … All three of SMU's wins have come on the Cardinals' home ice. SMU is 0-3-0 on the road. … Today's game against the 11th-ranked Raiders is also the fourth straight against a nationally ranked team. SMU dropped both games against No. 8 Hamline on Nov. 19-20. … Friday's game marked the first time this season SMU has failed to score at least one goal. … Andy Scheib (Sun Prairie, Wis.) stopped a season-high 39 shots vs. the Raiders on Friday. The performance was just two saves shy of the sophomore's career-best 41-save effort against Gustavus on Feb. 19, 2010. … Scheib enters today's rematch vs. MSOE with a 2.42 goals-against-average and a .929 save percentage — both team highs. … Kevin Wentland (Columbia Heights, Minn.) boasts a team-best five goals this season. The Raiders come into today's game vs. Saint Mary's riding a season-opening seven-game winning streak. … MSOE's seven-game win streak is the longest in head coach Mark Ostapina's tenure. … MSOE has scored 31 goals through seven games, while allowing just eight. The Raiders have not allowed more than two goals in a game through their first seven contests. … Jordan Keizer scored both goals vs. Saint Mary's Friday night, giving the sophomore forward a team-leading 10 goals. Keizer also leads the team with 13 points. … MSOE scored a season-high seven goals in a season-opening 7-2 win over Concordia-WI, and has scored five or more goals in four of its six games. … Michael Soik, who scored his 44th career goal in the Raiders' 2-1 win over Marian on Nov. 13, Todd Krupa and Bradley Tierney are second on the team in points with nine each, while Tierney has also dished out a team-high eight assists. … MSOE's 31 goals have come from 11 different players, while 17 players have recorded at least one point. … Connor Toomey has started six of the team's seven games, compiling a 1.17 goals-against-average and a .947 save percentage.
