The Cardinals, competing for the first time since dropping dual-meet decisions at Luther on Dec. 10, collected first-place finishes in 15 of the 26 events in last Saturday's double-dual against Augsburg and Hamline. … Liz Flynn (Mahtomedi, Minn.) swept the women's diving events last weekend vs. Augsburg and Hamline, winning the one-meter with a score of 210.50 and the three-meter with a 189.60 total. … Abby Kratzke (Dent, Minn.) chipped in a first-place effort in the 100 butterfly (1:00.42), while Molly Spray (Chicago, Ill. / 100 freestyle, 1:07.78), Andrea Fogel (Haifa, Isreal / 100 backstroke, 1:12.83), Anna Smaron (Maple Plain, Minn. / 50 freestyle, 28.46), and Linda Tierney (Cloquet, Minn. / 10 breaststroke, 1:18.65) also chipped in first-place performances. … Ross led the way for the SMU men, winning the 100 butterfly in 100 butterfly in 1:00.42, while adding a time of 4:52.17 to take first in the 400 IM. … Other first-place finishers for the Cardinal men included Robert Doyle (Hudson, Wis. / 200 freestyle, 2:23.91) and Brandon Matis (Blaine, Minn. / 100 freestyle, 53.44).
