WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University men's soccer team returns home on Tuesday, hosting Macalester in a 3:30 p.m. Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest at Ochrymowycz Field.

Tuesday's game against Macalester is the first of back-to-back home games for the Cardinals in the final week of the season. … Saturday' 3-0 loss at Saint John's marked just the third time in SMU's 14 contests that the game was not decided by one goal or less. … Last Wednesday's 0-0 tie against Viterbo marked the fourth overtime game of the season for the Cardinals — three of which have gone to a second overtime. … SMU's scoreless draw vs. the V-Hawks also marked the second time this season the Cardinals have battled to a 0-0 deadlock. Macalester's 3-0 win over St. Norbert last Thursday snapped the Scots' two-game losing streak. … The Scots game at Saint Mary's on Tuesday is the third of four straight road games to end the regular season for Macalester. … Six of the Scots' seven losses have been by one goal — the lone exception a 3-1 loss at Carleton on Sept. 28. … Macalester has not allowed more than one goal in any of its nine wins, including recording six shutout victories. … Macalester scored a season-high nine goals in a 9-0 win over Cornell (Iowa) on Oct. 1. … The Scots have outscored their opponents 29-3 in their nine wins. … Taylor Rasmussen — who scored two goals against St. Norbert last Thursday, and netted three goals in Macalester's last meeting with the Cardinals a year ago — leads the team with 13 goals. … Rasmussen also boasts a team-best 27 points, while Robin Forslund owns the team lead in assists (5) and is second to Rasmussen in points (13). … Macalester has used three different goalkeepers this season, with the trio combining to post a 1.00 goals-against-average, while stopping 54 of the 70 shots they've faced. … Macalester has outscored its opponents 13-7 in the first half and 20-9 after halftime. … The Scots have not played an overtime game this season, after playing six OT games a year ago.
