GameDay Preview
OSHKOSH, Wis. — With most of the Saint Mary's University track and field teams getting the weekend off for the Easter break, a trio of Cardinals joined coach Shawn McMahon Saturday at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational.
And the threesome certainly made some noise.
Coco Booker (St. Paul, Minn.) — the reigning runner-up in the shot put at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, placed seventh in the shot Saturday, uncorking a toss of 11.90 meters.
Tyler Kircher (Cashton, Wis.) placed eighth in the hammer with a throw of 43.15 meters, while Gus Wiggert (La Crosse, Wis.) was 11th in the hammer (39.01 meters) and 12th in the shot put (12.40).
The Cardinals will again be at full strength next Saturday, when SMU travels to Decorah, Iowa, to take part in the Luther Norse Relays.
