APPLETON, Wis. — The Cardinals hit the road for their last game before the Christmas break on Tuesday, as SMU heads to the Appleton Family Ice Center for a 7 p.m. nonconference game against Lawrence.

The Cardinals got goals from Dylan Dock (River Falls, Wis.) and Andrew Ketterer (Peoria, Ill.) and a 28-save effort from Phil Heinle (York, Pa.) in completing a two-game nonconference sweep of Lake Forest with a 2-1 victory on Nov. 30. SMU also beat the Foresters 2-1 in their first game of the series on Nov. 29. … Lawrence earned a split in its two-game series against second-ranked St. Norbert last weekend in DePere, Wis., as the Vikings rebounded from a 4-0 loss on Friday with a come-from-behind, 5-4 victory a day later.
