ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University track and field teams hit the road on Wednesday and Thursday, as the Cardinal women take part in the Hamline Twilight on Wednesday, with the SMU men competing in the Macalester Twilight a day later.

Katie Stolz (Forest Lake, Minn.) clocked a school-record time of 11:47.49 to place fourth in the women's 3,000 steeplechase at last Sunday's Jim Drews Invitational in La Crosse, Wis. … Stolz shaved nearly 25 seconds off the previous school record, which she set during the 2012 outdoor season. … Ryan Winegardner (Northfield, Minn.) stopped the clock in 10:17.39 to finish seventh in the men's 3,000 steeplechase at the Phil Esten Challenge. … Aaron Haley (Plainview, Minn.) also recorded a seventh-place effort for the SMU men last Sunday, clocking a time of 15:49.84 in the 5,000. … Jed McGlasson (Kenai, Alaska) chipped in a ninth-place time of 57.76 in the 400 hurdles last Sunday, with Bryan Ortman and Gus Wiggert (La Crosse, Wis.) adding a leap of 12.53 meters in the triple jump and a throw of 12.03 meters in the shot put, respectively, for the Cardinal men. … Maya Booker (St. Paul, Minn.) recorded a ninth-place throw of 44.22 meters in the hammer throw at the Phil Esten Challenge, while the SMU women also got  a time of 28.86 in the 200 from Laura Schommer (Hutchinson, Minn.) and a leap of 9.49 meters by Sarah Fanning in the triple jump.
