ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's track and field team got in a little mid-week work Wednesday evening, and it was the Booker sisters leading the Cardinals' charge.

Coco Booker (St. Paul, Minn.) uncorked a throw of 12.44 meters — narrowly missing her season-best toss of 12.45 meters — to finish sixth in the shot put, while younger sister Maya Booker chipped in a season-best throw of 44.54 meters to place eighth.

Laura Schommer (Hutchinson, Minn.) added a 10th-place time of 1:04.49, while Kim Puk (Naperville, Ill.) recorded times of 14.10 in the 100 and 29.39 in the 200.

The Cardinals are now off until Saturday, when they take to their home track for the Saint Mary's Open. SMU's lone home outdoor meet of the season gets underway at 10:30 a.m.
