MIAC Men's Championships — A Year Ago:
St. Olaf swam away with their fourth team championship in the last seven years, and two more MIAC records and numerous NCAA 'A' qualification times delighted the crowd. Though the team title didn't come down to the final event as it did a year ago, the same two teams engaged in an entertaining battle throughout the weekend. However, this time St. Olaf claimed the conference championship with a total of 787 points, beating defending champion St. Thomas by 39 points. This was the 28th MIAC championship for the Oles, which have won the most title in league history. In recent years, St. Olaf has been on an every-other-year title rotation, with this being their fourth in a seven-year span |

MIAC Women's Championships — A Year Ago:
Gustavus claimed its fourth-straight conference championship during the final session of the three-day conference championships. The Gusties — now winners of six of the last seven MIAC titles — rode a pair of MIAC-record performances and a great all-around showing to victory. Gustavus got a tough test from St. Thomas and St. Olaf throughout the three-day event, but head coach Jon Carlson's team was too good and too deep, and pulled away for a 52-point win with a total of 743 points. This is the team's seventh MIAC championship - second most in league history behind the Oles - and the latest in a dominant stretch of Gustie women's swimming |
