MIAC Championships — A Year Ago:
Men: Thanks to another dominant performance, St. Thomas maintained its strangle-hold on the MIAC Indoor Track and Field championship. The Tommies continued an unprecedented reign atop of the MIAC Indoor Track and Field standings, recording 204.0 points in cementing their 29th-straight championship. The Tommies' latest championship came via a 90-point win over runner-up St. Olaf and a 116-point margin over the rest of the field. The host Oles rode a great first-day performance to a solid runner-up finish of 114.0. Bethel finished third with 88.0 points and Hamline (74.5) just barely edged Saint John's (73.0) — by less than two points — for fourth place. Concordia (59.0) emerged from a narrow three-team battle for sixth place, with Gustavus (57.5) and Carleton (50.0) finishing seventh and eighth, respectively. Macalester (29.0), Augsburg (26.0) and Saint Mary's (5.0) rounded out the rest of the leader board |
