ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Blake Westerberg (Farmington, Minn.) shot an eight-over-par 80 and Connor Brandt (Woodbury, Minn.) added an 83 to pace the Saint Mary's University of Minnesota men's golf team during Saturday's opening day of the two-day, 54-hole Saint John's Invitational.

Sunday's final two rounds of the tournament were cancelled due to rain and poor course conditions.
 
Saint John's, St. Cloud State and UW-Eau Claire shared the team crown in the 18-team field with an eight-over 296 team score, while Concordia was fourth, two shots back, and Augsburg and St. Thomas II were five off the pace.
 
Along with Westerberg's 80 and Brandt's 83, the Cardinals also got an 87 from David Iten (Fridley, Minn.), a 92 from Dylan Altendorf (Stanchfield, Minn.)and a 98 from Thomas Garside (Vadnais Heights, Minn.).
