Blake Westerberg (Red Wing, Minn.), who carded a team-best eight rounds in the 70s a year ago, posted rounds of 84-83—167 to pace the Cardinals at the Saint John's Invitational last weekend. … Westerberg has now led the team in scoring in all six rounds this season. … Westerberg fired a season- and career-best three-over-par 75 during the second day of the Mount Mercy Cropper Classic on Sept. 7. … Westerberg owns a team-best 80.00 scoring average. … As a team, the Cardinals shot a 318 during the second round of the Cropper Classic on Sept. 7—equaling their season-low and marking their lowest round since carding a 316 during the opening round of the Wartburg Spring Invitational on April 10, 2010. … Brett Jackson (Edmonton, Alberta) added an 84 to his opening 86 for a 170 total at last weekend's Saint John's Invitational. … Connor Brandt (Woodbury, Minn. / 89-86—175), Hunter Rau (Plainview, Minn. / 88-90—178) and Hudson Stensgard (Rushford, Minn. / 92-91—183.) rounded out the Cardinals' lineup at the SJU Invite. … Last season, Westerberg and Tim Wolford (Maple Grove, Minn.) became the first Cardinal duo to finish with scoring averages in the 70s since 2007, when Jesse Polk '08 (77.3) and Andy Roberts '09 (79.8) accomplished the feat.
