Saint Mary's vs. Concordia—A Year Ago:
• December 4, 2015 * Winona, Minn.:
McKenna Parent (Anoka, Minn.) did something that no other Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team has been able to do against Concordia goalie Andrea Klug this season—score a goal. And Saint Mary's was far from satisfied with just one goal. Saint Mary's erupted for four goals—including two from Parent—as the Cardinals handed Concordia its first conference loss of the season, beating the Cobbers 4-2 at the Saint Mary's Ice Arena.
• December 5, 2015 * Winona, Minn.: A day after erupting for four goals—one goal shy of their season high—in a 4-2 win over Concordia, the Cardinals' offense could not get on track in the teams' rematch, as the Cobbers scored single goals in the second and third periods in dealing Saint Mary's a 2-0 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference setback at the Saint Mary's Ice Arena |
Recap
• February 25, 2016 * Moorhead, Minn.: Saint Mary's headed into its Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Playoff opener against Concordia riding a wave of momentum—having scored two or more goals in each of its last nine games, while allowing just eight goals in over that same time frame. And the Cobbers appeared ripe for the picking, having been shut out in its final two regular-season games, and managing just four wins in their last 10.
