WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota women's soccer team steps out of MIAC play for the final time this season, as the Cardinals entertain Ripon in their regular-season home finale Wednesday. Game time is slated for 6:30 p.m. at Ochrymowycz Field.

• Wednesday's game is the final home game of the season for the Cardinals — and the final collegiate home game for seniors Maura Michener (Winona, Minn.), Erin McElligott (New York City, N.Y.), Becca Dup (Albert Lea, Minn.), and Maddy Wallraff (Blaine, Minn.). … The Cardinals close out the nonconference portion of their schedule with Wednesday's showdown against Ripon. Saint Mary's is 5-1 in non-MIAC contests this season — the lone blemish a 2-0 loss to nationally ranked Loras on Sept. 8. … Last Saturday's 3-1 loss to Macalester snapped the Cardinals' two-game winning streak. … The Cardinals' 3-2 win over Carleton last Wednesday snapped a streak of 16 straight wins in which Saint Mary's held its opponent to one goal or less. … The Cardinals have played two overtime games this season — with both decided by a 3-2 decision.
