WINONA, Minn. — It's Monday morning, and time to take one final look back at the highlights of the week that was — by the numbers.
 
1: Owen Sikich (Wolfeboro, N.H.) netted his first collegiate goal early in the second period of the Cardinal men's hockey team's 4-3 overtime loss to Concordia last Saturday.
 
1, 2: Brooke Shefchik (Stevens Point, Wis.) delivered a first in the 1,000 freestyle (11:45.13) and a second in the 500 freestyle (5:55.11) to pace the Cardinal women's swimming and diving team during last Saturday's season-opening dual against Iowa Lakes Community College.
 
1 + 2: Sophia Zebro (Oak Grove, Minn.) scored three goals during the Cardinal women's hockey team's opening weekend — netting her first collegiate goal against St. Norbert last Friday, before recording her first collegiate two-goal game the following day against Marian.
 
1 x 4: The Saint Mary's women's hockey team boasted four players — Carolyn Chrastka (Franklin Park, Ill.), Lexie Budensiek (Farmington, Minn.), Sophia Zebro (Oak Grove, Minn.), and Carson Sheridan (Waunakee, Wis.) — who scored their first collegiate goals in the Cardinals' two wins last weekend.
 
2: Albert Centeno (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) — playing in his final collegiate game for the Saint Mary's men's soccer team — stopped both shots he faced to post his second career shutout in the Cardinals' 2-0 win over Concordia last Saturday.
 
2: Griffin Rades (Shawano, Wis.) led the way for the Cardinal men's swimming and diving team in their dual against Iowa Lakes Community College last Saturday, winning both the 200 freestyle (2:00.65) and 100 freestyle (52.93), while placing second in the 100 IM (1:00.85).
 
2: Tommy Stang (Mendota Heights, Minn.) scored goals in both of the Saint Mary's men's hockey team's games at the MIAC Hockey Showcase last weekend. Stang scored the team's lone goal in last Friday's 3-1 loss to Gustavus, before adding goal No. 2 in the Cardinals' 4-3 OT loss to Concordia the following day.
 
2 x 2: Maura Michener (Winona, Minn.) scored two goals in each of her final two collegiate games for the Saint Mary's women's soccer team — the senior netted two of the Cardinals' five goals in a 5-3 win over Ripon last Wednesday, before netting a pair of second-half tallies in SMU's season-ending 3-2, overtime loss to Concordia three days later.
 
2 + 2 = 6: Maura Michener (Winona, Minn.) posted a career-high six-point game in the Saint Mary's women's soccer team's 5-3 win over Ripon last Wednesday. Michener scored a pair of goals ­and chipped in two assists in her final collegiate home game.
 
3: Courtney Moser (Blaine, Minn.) and Carolyn Chrastka (Franklin Park, Ill.) led the Saint Mary's women's hockey team with three points each — one goal and two assists — in the Cardinals' 6-3 season-opening win over St. Norbert last Friday.
 
3-2: The Saint Mary's women's soccer team's 3-2 loss to Concordia last Saturday was their third overtime game of the season— with all three games decided by a 3-2 decision. Along with last Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Cobbers, the Cardinals lost to St. Catherine 3-2 in 2 OTs on Sept. 29, while beating Carleton 3-2 in 2 OTs on Oct. 17.
 
4: With their 6-3, season-opening win over St. Norbert last Friday, the Cardinal women's hockey team has now won their season-opener in each of their last four seasons.
 
5: Brandi Blattner (Eyota, Minn.) posted 20 kills against St. Olaf last Wednesday, marking the fifth time this season the senior has eclipsed the 20-kill plateau. She has also recorded 21 kills three times, while delivering a season-high 22 kills vs. Lakeland on Sept. 9.
 
5: Courtney Moser (Blaine, Minn.) had a hand in five of the Cardinal women's hockey team's 10 goals in their first two games last weekend — scoring once and assisting on four others.
 
5: Last Wednesday's loss to St. Olaf was the Cardinal volleyball team's eighth five-set match of the season — and second in their final five matches. Saint Mary's closed out the year 6-2 in five-setters.
 
6: The Saint Mary's women's hockey team erupted for six goals — equaling their season high from a year ago — in their season-opening 6-3 win over St. Norbert last Friday. The Cardinals' six goals came from six different players.
 
6-1: With their 5-3 win over Ripon last Wednesday, the Saint Mary's women's soccer team closed out the nonconference portion of its schedule with a 6-1 record — the lone blemish a 2-0 loss to nationally ranked Loras on Sept. 8.
 
7: Josh Balsiger (Camas, Wash.) scored his team-leading seventh goal of the season in the Cardinal men's soccer team's season-ending 2-0 win over Concordia last Saturday.
 
7, 12: The Saint Mary's swimming and diving teams combined for seven first-place finishes — not to mention 12 second-place efforts — as the Cardinals split their duals against Iowa Lakes Community College last Saturday, with the men winning 93-75, while the women dropped a 99-91 decision.
 
8: Seniors accounted for four goals and four assists in the Cardinal women's soccer team's 5-3 nonconference win over Ripon last Wednesday. Maura Michener (Winona, Minn.) scored two goals and added a pair of assists, while Maddy Wallraff (Blaine, Minn.) and Erin McElligott (New York City, N.Y.) both finished with a goal and an assist.
 
10: Last weekend's action marked the final collegiate games for 10 Cardinal seniors. Chris Beiersdorf (Arlington Heights, Ill.), Daniel Nolte (Owatonna, Minn.), and Alberto Centeno (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) played their final for the Saint Mary's men's soccer team, while Maura Michener (Winona, Minn.), Maddy Wallraff (Blaine, Minn.), Becca Dup (Albert Lea, Minn.), and Erin McElligott (New York City, N.Y.) played their last game for the Cardinal women's soccer team, and Brandi Blattner (Eyota, Minn.), Gloria Kitange (Rochester, Minn.), and Brittney Flom (Kenyon, Minn.) competed for the final time for the SMU volleyball team.
 
10, 11: The Saint Mary's men's cross country team placed 10th at last Saturday's MIAC Championships, while the Cardinal women placed 11th.
 
11: Brandi Blattner (Eyota, Minn.) closed out her senior season with the Saint Mary's volleyball team recording a team-high 364 kills — giving her 1,164 kills over her four-year career, ranking her 11th all-time in program history.
 
14, 32: With her four goals last week, Maura Michener (Winona, Minn.) closed out her senior campaign with team-highs of 14 goals and 32 points, both totals are the most since Amy Sibik netted 14 goals and recorded 32 assists during the 2009 season.
 
16: Jordan Keeley (St. Peter, Minn.) stopped all 16 shots she faced in recording her first collegiate shutout — in her first collegiate start — in the Cardinal women's hockey team's 4-0 win over Marian last Saturday.
 
25:02: Anna Marinc (Carol Stream, Ill.) toured the six-kilometer course in a career-best time of 25:02, as the Cardinal freshman led the Saint Mary's women's cross country team to a 10th-place finish in the team standings at last Saturday's MIAC Championships.
 
27:48: The Cardinal men's cross country team was led by a familiar face — sophomore Isaiah Olsem (Fulda, Minn.) — at last Saturday's MIAC Championships. Olsem was the team's top finisher for the fourth straight meet, covering the eight-kilometer course in 27:48 to lead Saint Mary's to a 10th-place showing in the team-standings.
 
35 + 1: Nick Nast (Oxnard, Calif.) stopped 35 shots in the Cardinal men's hockey team's 3-1 loss to Gustavus last Friday at the MIAC Hockey Showcase. Along with the 35-save effort, Nast also picked up his first collegiate assist on the Cardinals' third-period goal.
 
54: With her 54 assists in the Cardinal volleyball team's 3-2 loss to St. Olaf last Wednesday, Lillian Braun (Mantorville, Minn.) has now dished out 50 or more assists five times this season.
 
1,098: Lillian Braun (Mantorville, Minn.) posted 39 assists in the Cardinal volleyball team's season final against Gustavus, giving her a single-season career high 1,098 assists — the most by a Cardinal in a season since 2013, when Lexi Assimos dished out 1,197.
