WINONA, Minn. — It was a memorable weekend on the bluffs for Saint Mary's Athletics. While the weather didn't always cooperate, the Cardinals delivered plenty of bright moments with victories, record-breaking performances, and meaningful celebrations across multiple programs.

TRACK AND FIELD BREAKS RECORDS IN OUTDOOR OPENER
Saint Mary's track and field opened its outdoor season in impressive fashion at the Manitou Classic, highlighted by four first-place finishes and two new school records.

Momentum carried into the weekend as Saint Mary's swept Augsburg on Alumni Day. A 4-1 victory in game one set the tone before Stephen Golden delivered another walk-off in a 7-6 game-two thriller. The Cardinals now sit second in the MIAC standings.

They return to action at Macalester, Wednesday, April 15 at 2:30 p.m. before hosting St. Scholastica on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

They pulled off two mercy rule five-inning games at Carleton on Thursday before finally returning home for their home opener.

The Cardinals put it all out there and swept the Gusties in the home opener 6-3 and then a thrilling 4-3 game two win with a crucial error allowing Olivia Poulin to score the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
