DECORAH, Iowa — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota men's and women's swimming and diving teams are back in the pool on Saturday, traveling to Luther to take part in the Luther Invitational.

The Cardinals' Last Action:
• November 10, 2018 * St. Paul, Minn.: The Cardinals combined for 10 Top 5 performances in placing fourth at Macalester's Roger Ahlman Invitational. Griffin Rades (Shawano, Wis.) led the way for the Cardinal men, placing first in the 200 IM (2:06.41), while adding thirds in both the 100 backstroke (58.42) and 200 backstroke (2:07.63). On the women's side, Brooke Shefchik (Stevens Point, Wis.) posted the Cardinals' top individual finish, placing second in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:42.03. • The Cardinals put together 10 top-five finishes at Macalester's Roger Ahlman Invitational last Saturday — with the SMU men recording six top fives, while the Saint Mary's women added four. … Griffin Rades (Shawano, Wis.) placed first in the 200 IM (2:06.41), while adding thirds in both the 100 backstroke (58.42) and 200 backstroke (2:07.63) at the Roger Ahlman Invitational. … With his win in the 200 IM last weekend at Macalester, Rades remained unbeaten in the event this season. … Other top-five performances for the Cardinal men at Macalester included: Cole Stepanovich (St. Francis, Wis.) second in the 100 butterfly (58.39); Josh Anes Dy Quiangco (Rochester, Minn.) third in the 100 backstroke (1:03.92); Alex Morrow (Stevens Point, Wis.) and Darren Anes Dy Quiangco (Rochester, Minn.) third and fourth in the 200 butterfly with times of 2:14.56 and 2:26.74, respectively. … On the women's side, Brooke Shefchik (Stevens Point, Wis.) placed second in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:42.03 and was fifth in the 500 freestyle (5:49.69). … Other top-five finishes for the Cardinal women included: Emme Quandt (Shawano, Wis.) fifth in the 200 butterfly (2:40.82) and Katie Beitz (Blaine, Minn.) fifth in the 50 freestyle (27.80). … Shefchik's 1,000 freestyle time of 11:41.46 against St. Norbert on Nov. 2 was the third-fastest time in program history. … The Cardinals combined for 12 first-place finishes in their duals against St. Norbert on Nov. 2.
