WINONA, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University of Minnesota men's hockey team steps out of conference play for the final time on Thursday, as the Cardinals host UW-Stout in a 7:30 p.m. nonconference contest at the Saint Mary's Ice Arena.

Saint Mary's will host the Gusties in a 7 p.m. contest at the Saint Mary's Ice Arena on Friday, before heading to Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter, Minn., for Saturday's 7 p.m. rematch.

• Thursday's game against UW-Stout is the fifth straight home game for the Cardinals, who opened the season playing 10 of their first 12 games away from the Saint Mary's Ice Arena. … With their split against Concordia last weekend, the Cardinals are now 3-2-2 in their last seven games. … Last Saturday's 7-2 win over the Cobbers marked just the third time this season that the outcome has not been decided by two goals or less.
