ST. PETER, Minn. — The Saint Mary's University women's hockey team hits the road on Saturday, as the Cardinals head to Don Roberts Ice Arena for the second game of their two-game MIAC series against nationally ranked Gustavus. Game time is slated for 2 p.m.

• Saint Mary's: The Cardinals are now off until Jan. 4-5, when they return home to the Saint Mary's Ice Arena for a pair of nonconference games. Saint Mary's will face UW-Stevens Point at 7 p.m. on Jan. 4, before entertaining Marian at 2 p.m. the following afternoon.
• Gustavus: The Gusties are back in action for a pair of nonconference games against UW-River Falls next week. GAC and UWRF will square off at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at W.H. Hunt Arena in River Falls, Wis., before returning to the Don Roberts Ice Arena in St. Peter, Minn., for Friday's 7 p.m. rematch.

The tie did, however, snap the Gusties' seven-game season-opening winning streak. … The Gusties have allowed just six goals through eight games this season — including shutout wins over Concordia-WI (5-0), UW-Eau Claire (1-0), St. Catherine (5-0), and Augsburg (1-0). … Clara Billings and Kristina Press enter Saturday's game against Saint Mary's leading the Gusties in goals with five, two more than Jordyn Peterson. … The Gusties 22 goals have come from nine different players. … Molly McHugh owns a team-best six assists, while Press boasts a team-high seven points, one more than both McHugh and Billings. … Billings has netted two of the Gusties' eight game-winning goals, with Press, Kristen Cash, Hailey Holland, Jamie Byrne, and Emily Olson scoring the other six. … Gustavus has scored five power-play goals.
