WINONA, Minn. — Kyle Meeh (Fenton, Mo.) has been a fixture in the Saint Mary's University of Minnesota men's hockey team's lineup for the last three years.

And when it comes to landing Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference post-season honors, the junior defenseman has been a fixture there, as well.

Meeh — an honorable-mention All-MIAC pick and a member of the MIAC's All-Rookie Team two years ago — landed his second straight First-Team All-MIAC honor when the league office announced its post-season award-winners Monday afternoon.

And Meeh wasn't the only Cardinal hauling in post-season accolades. Tommy Stang (Mendota Heights, Minn.) joined his junior teammate on the All-MIAC First-Team, while Tyson Liverance (Burford, Ontario) was named to the MIAC All-Rookie Team.

Regular-season champion Augsburg claimed the conference's top two post-season awards, as senior goalie Nick Schmit was named MIAC Player of the Year, while Chris Brown was selected MIAC Coach of the Year.

Meeh played in all 16 conference games for the Cardinals — who made their third MIAC Tournament appearance in the last five years this season — scoring three goals and adding six assists for nine points. One of only eight Cardinals to play all 27 games this season, Meeh closed out his junior campaign  third on the team with seven goals, while also adding eight assists for 15 points.

Meeh collected his first collegiate two-goal game with a pair of tallies 25 seconds apart in Saint Mary's 4-4 tie against Lake Forest on Nov. 24, and notched the second three-point game of his career with a goal and two helpers against Hamline on Feb. 9.

Stang was the Cardinals' offensive leader in 2018-19, scoring a team-best six goals and adding seven assists for a team-leading 13 points in 16 MIAC contests. Stang — who scored just twice during his freshman campaign a year ago — enjoyed a breakout sophomore season, finishing the year with a team-high 13 goals. The sophomore forward, who dished out nine assists, also led the team in points with 22.

Stang, who entered Saint Mary's MIAC Tournament semifinal against Augsburg on Feb. 23 having scored in four straight games, closed out the season netting a goal in six of the team's last eight contests.

Liverance turned more than a few heads in his inaugural season in a Cardinal uniform, as the freshman defenseman scored four times and added seven goals for 11 points in his 14 conference games — including having a hand in all three Cardinal goals (1 G, 2 A) against St. Thomas on Nov. 3. One of five Cardinals to score goals in at least three straight games this season, Liverance closed out his freshman season finishing fourth on the team in points with 16, scoring six goals and tallying 10 assists in 25 games.

The MIAC also announced the 12th annual All-MIAC Sportsmanship team for men's hockey, which included the Cardinals' Ryan Charko (Warren, N.J.)
