HARTFORD, Wis. — The Saint Mary's University men's golf team is back in action this weekend, heading to Washington County Golf Course to take part in the 36-hole Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational.

• The Cardinals are coming off an eighth-place showing at the 36-team Midwest Region Classic last weekend in Galena, Ill. … Saint Mary's put together five rounds of 77 or lower last weekend — including two-over-par 74s from Cooper Craiger (Des Moines, Iowa) in the opening round and from Joe Abdo (Edina, Minn.) in the second. … Craiger finished the 36-hole tournament with a 151, adding a second-day 77 to his opening-round 74. … Bryce Galewski (Winona, Minn.) posted rounds of 77-76—153 to finish two shots back of Craiger and one in front of Abdo (80-74—154). … Blair Sanders (Kansas City, Mo. / 84-84—168) and Jake Emeott (Chisago City, Minn. / 84-95—179) rounded out the Cardinals lineup. … The Cardinals put together five rounds of 79 or lower last weekend at the UW-Eau Claire Wrigglesworth Invitational. …  Galewski posted the Cardinals' low round of the tournament at the UW-Eau Claire Wrigglesworth Invitational on Sept. 8-9, shooting an opening-round, even-par 72 en route to a team-best 156 total. … Galewski took home medalist honors at the Twin Ports Collegiate on Aug. 30-31, shooting an opening-round 74, before following that up with a school-record six-under-par 65 for a 36-hole, program record 139. … Galewski has now posted 22 rounds of 79 or lower during his four-year collegiate career. … Galewski wasn't the only Cardinal living below the par line during the second round of the Twin Ports Collegiate on Aug. 31, as Craiger chipped in a career-best two-under 69 in just his second competitive collegiate round. … Saint Mary's boasted one round under par in 2018, when Abdo posted a career-low one-under 71 during the opening round of the Augsburg Invitational on Sept. 1. … Galewski heads into this weekend's action with a team-best 74.67 stroke average, followed by Craiger (77.00) and Abdo (78.33). … The Cardinals fired a single-day school-record 280 during the second day of the Twin Ports Collegiate on Aug. 31. The 280 bettered the previous school mark by 17 strokes. … The Cardinals have posted 17 scores of 79 or better through six competitive rounds this season.
