ST. PAUL, Minn. — The minute the Saint Mary's University volleyball team took the court Wednesday evening, the determined Cardinals had their game face on — and Macalester never stood a chance.
The Cardinals made quick work of the Scots in posting their first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory of the season, rolling to wins of 25-19, 25-21, 25-15 en route to the 3-0 triumph at Leonard Center.
Lexi Barth (Byron, Minn.) led a balanced offensive attack, hammering out 12 kills, while
Daynalyn Jostock (Millville, Minn.) added seven,
Linnaea Wallis (Dresser, Wis.) finished with six, and
Rachel Kedl (Lamberton, Minn.) and
Erin Lime (Lino Lakes, Minn.) each chipped in five.

Eliza King collected nine kills, one more than Zoe Lowe, with Claire Loomans dishing out 25 assists and Katrina Schoen collecting 14 digs for the Scots.
The Cardinals (1-1 MIAC, 9-6 overall) take to the road this weekend, heading to Rock Island, Ill., to take part in the Augustana Invitational. Saint Mary's will face Coe at 7 p.m. on Friday, before squaring off against Wartburg (11 a.m.) and host Augustana (1 p.m.) the following day.
