LAKE GENEVA, Wis. — The Saint Mary's University men's golf team is back in action on Sunday and Monday, heading to Grand Geneva Resort GC to take part in the 36-hole Milwaukee School of Engineering Invitational.

Joe Abdo (Edina, Minn.) posted a one-over-par 73 to finish tied for second at last weekend's Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational. … Abdo has now recorded rounds of one-over-par twice this year — shooting a one-over 72 during the second round of the Twin Ports Collegiate on Aug. 31. … Along with Abdo's one-over 73, the Cardinals also got a seven-over 79 from
Bryce Galewski (Winona, Minn.), while
Cooper Craiger (Des Moines, Iowa / 81),
Alex Allen (Monticello, Minn. / 85),
Blair Sanders (Kansas City, Mo. / 85), and
Jake Emeott (Chisago City, Minn. / 91) rounded out the Saint Mary's lineup. … Craiger was the Cardinals' low man at the Midwest Region Classic on Sept. 13-14, posting a seven-over 151 (74-77) to finish two shots in front of Galewski (77-76—153). …Galewski posted the Cardinals' low round of the tournament at the UW-Eau Claire Wrigglesworth Invitational on Sept. 8-9, shooting an opening-round, even-par 72 en route to a team-best 156 total. … Galewski took home medalist honors at the Twin Ports Collegiate on Aug. 30-31, shooting an opening-round 74, before following that up with a school-record six-under-par 65 for a 36-hole, program record 139. … Galewski has now posted 23 rounds of 79 or lower during his four-year collegiate career. … Galewski wasn't the only Cardinal living below the par line during the second round of the Twin Ports Collegiate on Aug. 31, as Craiger chipped in a career-best two-under 69 in just his second competitive collegiate round. … Saint Mary's boasted one round under par in 2018, when Abdo posted a career-low one-under 71 during the opening round of the Augsburg Invitational on Sept. 1. … Galewski heads into this weekend's action with a team-best 75.29 stroke average, followed by Craiger (77.57) and Abdo (77.57). … With Abdo's 73 and Galewski's 79 at the Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational, the Cardinals have now recorded 19 rounds of 19 or better. … The Cardinals fired a single-day school-record 280 during the second day of the Twin Ports Collegiate on Aug. 31. The 280 bettered the previous school mark by 17 strokes.
