EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The Saint Mary's University men's golf team is back in action this weekend, taking part in the 36-hole UW-Eau Claire Wrigglesworth Invitational. Round 1 of the 36-hole tournament will take place on Sunday at Wild Ridge GC in Eau Claire, Wis., with Monday's final round being played at Eau Claire Golf & Country Club.

• The Cardinals fired a single-day school-record 280 during the second day of the Twin Ports Collegiate last Saturday. The 280 bettered the previous school mark by 17 strokes. … Bryce Galewski (Winona, Minn.) took home medalist honors at last weekend's Twin Ports Collegiate, shooting an opening-round 74, before following that up with a school-record six-under-par 65 for a 36-hole program record 139. … Galewski has now posted 19 rounds of 79 or lower during his four-year collegiate career. … Galewski wasn't the only Cardinal living below the par line during the second round of the Twin Ports Collegiate last Saturday, as Cooper Craiger (Des Moines, Iowa) chipped in a career-best two-under 69 in just his second competitive collegiate round. … Saint Mary's boasted one round under par in 2018, when Joe Abdo (Edina, Minn.) posted a career-low one-under 71 during the opening round of the Augsburg Invitational on Sept. 1. … Along with Galewski's tournament-winning 139, the Cardinals also got a 149 (80-69) from Granger, an 85-72—157 from Abdo, an 86-74—160 from Josh Hill (St. Michael, Minn.), and an 89-79—168 from Blair Sanders (Kansas City, Mo.).
