• 2: Will Boeckman (Big Lake, Minn.) went 2-for-4, with both hits being doubles, and scored two runs in the Cardinal baseball team’s 7-5, Game 2 win over Saint John’s last Wednesday. Boeckman now has five hits in 15 at-bats this year — with three of those five hits being doubles.
• 2 x 2: Allison Ciero (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) and Mackenzie Carey (Prescott, Wis.) both put together two-hit games in Game 2 of the Cardinal fastpitch softball team’s doubleheader against Saint Benedict last Sunday. Carey also drove in a pair of runs in the Game 2 loss.
• 4-0: Timmy Smith (South St. Paul, Minn.) picked up his team-leading fourth win in the Saint Mary’s baseball team’s 7-5 win in the second game of its MIAC doubleheader against Saint John’s last Wednesday. Smith (4-0) allowed just one run on five hits in three innings of relief en route to the pitching win.
• 5: Dylan Westcott (Holmen, Wis.) recorded his fifth save of the season, throwing a scoreless ninth in the Cardinal baseball team’s 7-5, Game 2 win over Saint John’s last Wednesday.
• 6: The Saint Mary’s fastpitch softball team erupted for six runs in the second inning in last Sunday’s Game 2 loss to Saint Benedict. The six-run inning marked the 13th time this season Saint Mary’s has scored four or more runs in an inning, and was just one run short of their season-high seven-run sixth inning in its 12-3 win over Rosemont on March 3.
• 13: Anna Swanson delivered a throw of 38.73 meters to place 13th in the javelin at the Drake Relays last Friday afternoon in Des Moines, Iowa.
