WINONA, Minn. — A record 74 Saint Mary's University student-athletes earned Academic All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognition for the winter-spring semester.

On Wednesday, the MIAC announced its 2022-23 Winter and Spring Academic All-Conference honorees, including 1,334 student-athletes. Combined with the 782 fall-sport athletes who were honored in January, the overall total of Academic All-Conference selections for the 2022-23 academic year sets a new Conference-high of 2,116, surpassing the previous record of 2,080, established last June.

The latest Academic All-Conference list spotlights more than 1,300 examples of student-athletes achieving excellence without compromise. This is the second consecutive June in which the MIAC's overall Academic All-Conference list has exceeded 2,000 student-athletes, with nine sports matching or setting single-season records in the process, including women's track & field (200), men's track & field (166), baseball (135), women's swimming & diving (120), men's hockey (116), women's basketball (79), men's tennis (58), women's golf (39), and men's golf (35).
