WAVERLY, IOWA – Saint Mary's Cardinal men's and women's cross country teams competed in Waverly, Iowa for the annual Dan Huston Invitational Saturday morning nailing third and sixth place finishes for the Cardinals.

Women
The freshman
Mya Slavin earned herself a 15
th place finish with a pace of 23:50 to nail nine points for her team. To follow was
Kendra Schneider with a 25:15 time beating her pervious 6k record of the season by little under a minute. Juniors
Megan Frosch and
Abbie Meyer nail new season highs as well with a 26:08 and 26:23 pace. Sophomore
Rheanna Hopkins tallies a top 50 finish nailing a season best of 26:47.

The Cardinals top runner of the season,
Isaiah Fitzgerald collects the team's best time once more with a 26:45 pace.
Sean Smyth comes in second on the Cardinal's team with a time of 27:20.
Grant Schneider gets a few points on the board for the Cardinals with a 28:32 time after not running at the previous meet.
Ryan Topolski finds himself within the top 100 runners and
Goi Ruei and Kade Kloss finish one after another with a time difference of four seconds.

The times across the board were one of the team's best this year with multiple runners recording their season best times.

The cross country team's next race is the Augustana College Interregional Invitational in Rock Island, Illinois on Saturday, Oct. 19.
