Bulwa added a second first in the 100, stopping the clock in 10.82 for the SMU men’s track and field team at last Saturday’s Macalester Rider/Bolstorff Invitational.
• 2: Ryan Csida (Kimberly, Wis.) became the second SMU baseball player to record a two-home run game this season, lacing a pair of HRs in last Tuesday’s 13-12, 10-inning loss to UW-Stout. It’s the first time SMU has had two players hit two home runs in a game since Ben Buerkle and Jake Barry each hit two round-trippers during the 2017 season.
• 2: The Cardinal fastpitch softball team locked up its second straight MIAC Playoff berth last Saturday, sweeping both games of their MIAC doubleheader against Augsburg last Saturday, winning 7-4 and 8-0.
• 3: Riley Bauman (Stratford, Wis.) hit his third solo home run in as many games in the Cardinal baseball team’s 13-12, 10-inning loss to UW-Stout.
• 3, 4: Samantha Munson (Plain City, Utah) posted a pair of stellar efforts for the SMU women’s track and field team at last Saturday’s Macalester Rider/Bolstorff Invitational — placing third in the 200 (26.40) and fourth in the 100 (12.98).
• 4: Peyton Berg (Chatfield, Minn.) recorded her team-leading third four-RBI game in the SMU fastpitch softball team’s 8-0 Game 2 win over Augsburg last Saturday. Berg now leads the team with nine multiple-RBI games.
• 5: Riley Bauman’s (Stratford, Wis.) career-high five hits in the SMU baseball team’s loss to UW-Stout last Tuesday marked the second straight season the Cardinals have had a player record five hits in a game — Cameron Weber (Holmen, Wis.) achieved the feat last year against Bethany Lutheran.
• 7: Ryan Csida (Kimberly, Wis.) recorded a single-game career-high seven RBIs in the SMU baseball team’s 10-inning loss to UW-Stout last Tuesday. The seven runs were the most in a game since Ben Buerkle drove in seven against Hamline on May 13, 2016.
• 7: Riley Bauman (Stratford, Wis.) launched his team-leading seventh home run of the season, the SMU baseball’s team’s five-run sixth inning in last Saturday’s 6-5, Game 2 loss to Bethel.
• 8: Peyton Berg belted her team-leading eighth home run of the season — a three-run shot in the bottom of the first inning — in the SMU fastpitch softball team’s 8-0, six-inning Game 2 win over Augsburg last Saturday.
• 8-0: The Cardinal fastpitch softball team’s 8-0 six-inning win over Augsburg in Game 2 last Saturday was the Cardinals’ ninth win shortened by the eight-run rule.
• 9-9: Riley Bauman (Stratford, Wis.) and Ryan Csida (Kimberly, Wis.) combined to go 9-for-9 with three home runs and 10 RBIs in the SMU baseball team’s 13-12 loss to UW-Stout.
