MANKATO, Minn. - The Cardinal men's tennis team competed in their first fall match of the season sweeping Bethany Lutheran 4-0 to start the season.
Philip Apel had a perfect sweep to defeat his Viking opponent and records his first win of the season.
Zak Farley and
Michael Johnson both did not have an opponent but goes down as a tallied win to start their seasons on a high note.
Dominate in the doubles, all three matches and six Cardinals recorded a win.
Caden Boyer and Apel took their opponents into a tie breaker where they won 7-4.
Tucker Stene and Johnson defeated their Vikings opponent 6-1.
Gavin Pratt and Farley did not have an opponent to face as Bethany Lutheran only had four Vikings competing.
The Cardinals men's tennis team return to action tomorrow at Wartburg College for a 11:30am start.
