WAVERLY, Iowa – The Cardinal men's tennis team finishes their fall matches for the season losing a close battle to Wartburg College. The Cardinals are now 1-1 on the season.
 
The Cardinals fell to Wartburg in the Knights opener in hot conditions.
 
Philip Apel and Zak Farley to capture the two wins for the Cardinals and are both a perfect 2-0 to start their season.
 
Tucker Stene fell just short in his singles match but his doubles teammate, Michael Johnson, beat their Knight opponent in a 6-3 win.
 
The Cardinals weekend on the road concludes their fall matches as they prepare for the winter season.
 
The men's tennis team returns to action at home, Saturday, Jan. 25^th at the Winona Tennis Center taking on Martin Luther College for a 1:30pm start.
