NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The cross-country team traveled to St. Olaf for their third meet of the season to compete at the St. Olaf Invitational. The women's team finished 14
th in the 6k and the men's team finished in 15
th in the 8k.

Staying in the front of the pack,
Mya Slavin finished with the best women's time of the team at 24:23:80. Her teammates all stayed within each other out of the gun but broke away as the run continued. Her teammate Kendra Klobe finished with a time of 26:08:10 for a top 100 finish. To follow was
Megan Frosch and
Abbie Meyer each with a pace of 27:39:10 and 28:06:60. Frosch, Meyer, and
Katherine Goergen rounded out the scoring for the women today.Â

The Cardinals stayed together within the first few miles of the meet but began pulling away from each other as the sun beat down.
Isaiah Fitzgerald recorded his personal best time and the best time of the team with 27:22:10. Next was
Sean Smyth crossing the line at 28:51:50 and
Gabe Schonknecht after at 30:33:20. Schnonkenecht and
Goi Ruei finished within 8 seconds of each other running and
Cade Kloss grabbed the 5th scoring position for the men's team.

The Cardinals will travel to Waverly, Iowa Oct. 5th for the Wartburg invitational.
