NEW ORLEANS, La. - On Thursday, the Saint Mary's men's and women's cross country teams received academic awards from the USTFCCCA. The Cardinal men earned a 3.16 GPA, while the Cardinal women achieved a 3.38 GPA, both earning recognition as All-Academic Teams.

To earn All-Academic Team distinction, teams must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, and achieve a team score at their regional championship meet, among other criteria. For All-Academic Athlete distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 25 percent of their regional championship meet.
