NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Saint Mary's University cross country teams ran at the 2024 MIAC Cross Country Championships hosted by St. Olaf on Saturday morning in Northfield, Minnesota.
 
Women's Highlights
 
Mya Slavin continuously proves herself to be the top contender for the Cardinals as she finishes the meet placing 21st with a time of 23:53:70. 
Kendra Schneider finished in second for the team with a 25:39:20 pace. Behind her were teammates 
Megan Frosch, who finished within the top 100 to compete, with a time of 26:37:80, 
Abbie Meyer finished with a pace of 27:23:50, 
Sophia Bemis with a pace of 27:41:30, and behind her was 
Katherine Goergen recorded a time of 27:43:30, the trio finished within six runners of each other.
 
Men's Highlights
 
Sean Smyth had himself a day as he recorded a season best time of 27:11:40 to finish first for his team. 
Grant Schneider was right behind him with a pace of 27:49:30. 
Ryan Topolski finished within the top 100 runners with a 28:11:90 time. Teammates 
Goi Ruei and 
Isaiah Fitzgerald finished back-to-back of each other with times of 28:24:10 and 28:26:70. Soon after, 
Evan Finney and 
Cade Kloss would cross the finish line with times of 29:23:70 and 29:33:90. 
Zander Olmshenk recorded a season high time at 33:06:01.
 
Slavin earned herself MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention.
The team weathered the cold weather and made the most of the big race. The Cardinals are back in Northfield for the NCAA Regional Championships Saturday, November 16th.
