KANSAS CITY, Mo. — This recognition extends beyond the field, the Saint Mary's University Women's Soccer has earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Pinnacle Award, as announced by the United Soccer Coaches Association.
A total of 63 high school and 14 college programs received the prestigious Team Pinnacle Award for the 2024–25 academic year. Now in its seventh year, the award honors programs that demonstrate excellence in fair play, academic achievement, and on-field performance.
To be eligible, teams must have earned a Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze designation in the Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award, received the Team Academic Award, and achieved a winning percentage of .750 or higher during the season.
The Cardinals currently hold an overall record of 8-4-2, with a 2-3-2 mark in conference play, placing them seventh in the standings. After opening the season with a 6-0 run, the Cardinals have remained on the cusp of breaking into the regional rankings. Two players rank in the top ten in the conference for goals scored, highlighting the team's offensive threat.
With four regular-season games remaining, Saint Mary's is aiming to make a strong push to close out the season.Â
The Cardinals will hit the road this Saturday for a key matchup against No. 23-ranked Carleton, with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m.
